Tough Carbon Fibre Frame
The frame of the Draganflyer X8 is built from high quality military grade carbon fibre making it one of the most durable electric helicopters on the market today. Carbon fibre is impervious to rust and does not decay making it an excellent choice for strong light weight constructions. Fly the Draganflyer X8 in any terrain from the middle of a desert to the middle of the forest the strong carbon fibre frame will stand up to it all.
Durability & Strength
In order to meet the demands placed on a UAV the Draganflyer X8 has been designed with durability in mind. Making use of strong light weight materials like carbon fibre and glass-filled injected nylon plastic parts the Draganflyer X8 is able to stand up to a significant amount of stress during flight. The frame has been designed to be rigid in order to improve flight response while at the same time able to absorb vibration.
Folds on Impact
Borrowing the successful design from the Draganflyer X6 the Draganflyer X8 has been designed with a frame that will fold upon impact. This is made possible by the strong clips that hold the arms in place as they absorb energy when they unclip. This in turn reduces the kinetic energy and velocity of the helicopter when it impacts.
Modular Design
The individual arms on the Draganflyer X8 can be replaced rather than having to replace the entire frame making it less costly to repair should repairs be needed. Every rotor on the Draganflyer X8 is simple and easy to replace making it a snap to change them in the field should the need arise.

Flexible Rotor Mounts
The Draganflyer X8 rotors are each held in place with two strong neoprene o-rings. These hold the rotors securely in place yet are able to flex, reducing stress on the rotors when they bend.
Detachable Landing Gear
Damage from hard landings is the most common damage that is seen on the Draganflyer X8. That is why the landing gear has been made to be simple and easy to remove. Rather than having to repair the entire unit you can just simple replace the landing gear and you are back flying in no time.
