The complete Draganflyer X8 helicopter system has been designed to fit into one cases that meets the Airline Transport Industry Associations guidelines for luggage size. This means you do not have to pay over size luggage fees when you travel to your photo or video shoot by air. The Draganflyer X8 comes with a military grade lockable transport case or you can choose the Draganflyer X8 soft case and optional back pack carrying system.
Do You Require Portability?
The Base Station Case fits within the Transport Case. It will carry your laptop computer for viewing real-time streaming video from the X8 helicopter, viewing telemetry, and for storing video and images. Telescoping legs are included and can be threaded onto the bottom of the case to provide a platform to work from.
The Video Base Station is compatible with laptop computers running Windows. Install the included software and you can start receiving wireless telemetry and live aerial video right away. The Video Base Station also folds up neatly and securely for transport either on its own or within the main Draganflyer X8 carrying case. The Video Base Station case is made of the same rugged, military grade materials as the Draganflyer X8 case so that the internal components are protected against the rigors of airline transport and field deployment.

All the tools required for changing rotor blades, swapping camera modules, and disassembling the X8 helicopter for storage are included in the Draganflyer X8 Toolbox that also fits inside the Transport Case.
The Draganflyer X8 Transport Case
Optional Back Pack Case - Get Into Remote Places with the Draganflyer X8
Sometimes to get that perfect picture or to shoot that fantastic video you have to go off the beaten path. In order to get your Draganflyer X8 into the remote location with you we have developed the optional back pack case. The outer case is built from military grade rugged Cordura™ nylon, which contains high density precision machined foam. Your Draganflyer X8 and equipment is in encased in this protective light weight foam. Using the PALS system a military grade load bearing back pack harness can be attached. This allows you to transport your Draganflyer X8 and other gear just by wearing the back pack and hiking into your location. Should that location have tall grass or a other wise unsuitable take off and landing spot simple lay the case down and use it as your helipad.
Portable Charge Station
The charging station has been designed to go to the job with you. The Draganflyer X8 charge station fits inside the transport case along with two batteries and all the required charging accessories. With the Draganflyer X8 charge station you are able to charge two batteries at once in multiple configurations. For example you could charge two helicopter, or one helicopter battery and one transmitter battery at the same time. This allows you to charge your depleted battery while continuing to fly with your charged battery.
ATA Approved Hard Case
When you are traveling with your Draganflyer X8 in its soft case you will want to protect it when you are in airplanes, cars and trucks. The Draganflyer X8 Airline Transport Association approved hard case has been built to protect the Draganflyer X8 soft pack while at the same time meeting the ATA size requirements so that it is not over sized luggage.
