Collapsible Frame
The Draganflyer X8 has a unique collapsible frame that allows it to be folded back for easy transport and storage. All four arms fold back in a neatly compact arrangement allowing the helicopter to fit inside a tube or backpack.
Durable and Light
The frame of the Draganflyer X8 is made from rolled carbon fiber tubes built to our custom specifications. The rolling process makes the tubes stronger as the fibers are interweaved together while still maintaining the higher strength to weight ratio of carbon fiber.
Modular Design
The modular design of the Draganflyer X8 allows individual arms to be replaced, rather than the entire frame. This allows for more economical repairs and less down time.
Glass Filled Injected Nylon Components
A hinge and clip assembly made from strong glass filled injected nylon connects the three carbon fiber arms together at the center. Each of the three carbon fiber arms is attached to a motor mount with a sturdy pod mount. Glass filled injected nylon is also used to make the motor mounts that plug into the top and bottoms of each motor pod.
