Carbon Fiber Rotor Blades and Brushless Motors

The power system is the core of the Draganflyer X6 helicopter, and is what provides thrust for flight and maneuvering. Power is stored in the battery, passed to the motors, converted to mechanical energy, and then turned into thrust. There is enough thrust for the Draganflyer X6 and a 500 gram payload, which can be any of the specialized cameras systems.

The Draganflyer X6 helicopter battery stores enough power for flights up to 25 minutes long. Using lithium polymer cell technology, the Draganflyer X6 battery is significantly lighter and higher capacity than an equivalently shaped conventional rechargeable battery. With its integrated power and balancer connectors, recharging is simple and takes only 30 minutes. A spare battery installs easily so you can continue flying while the used one charges.

Quiet & Lightweight Carbon Fiber Rotors

Carbon Fiber Rotor Blades

The rotors use mechanical energy from the motors to generate thrust. These rotors are molded from carbon fiber into a shape specifically designed for optimal thrust at maximum efficiency. High efficiency also results in low noise (less than 65dB at one meter) and longer flight times. Carbon fiber makes the rotors ultra light and ultra strong.

Powerful & Efficient Brushless Motors

Brushless Motors

Six custom brushless motors convert the electric power from the battery into rotational mechanical energy. These electric brushless motors generate twice the power of conventional brushed motors, without any brushes to ever wear out. They are also more efficient for longer flight times, maintenance free, and extremely quiet. Their speed and torque has been custom designed for directly driving the rotor blades - no gears required!
