Six Rotor Configuration
Increased Thrust
The Draganflyer X6 helicopter utilizes an innovative six-rotor design. Differential thrust from these three equally spaced points make the Draganflyer X6 helicopter able to maneuver quickly and precisely. The offset layout increases the thrust without increasing the size of the footprint, and naturally eliminates loss of efficiency due to torque compensation.
Functions In Small Areas
The Draganflyer X6 is small enough to fly indoors where other full-size helicopters or airplanes can't, yet is large enough to fly outdoors.
Quiet & Efficient
Not only does the unique design maximize thrust, it also minimizes sound output. Because the rotor blades are designed for maximum efficiency, they naturally produce less turbulence when spinning. And because the motors direct drive the rotors, no noisy gearing is required. At hover the Draganflyer X6 produces less than (approx.) 65dB of sound at one meter (3 feet), and less than (approx.) 60dB at three meters (9 feet).
Custom Designed Components
The Draganflyer X6 rotors are the product of extensive research, development, and testing. The rotors are optimized for maximum efficiency, low noise, low weight, and high strength. The rotors are mounted on brushless motors designed to direct drive them with maximum power and efficiency. The motors are mounted to the three-arm carbon fiber frame designed for maximum strength and minimum weight. This combination of custom designed rotors, custom designed brushless motors, and custom designed frame enables the Draganflyer X6 helicopter to outperform any of-the-shelf competitor.
Virtually Maintenance Free
Brushless motors and carbon fiber rotor blades are the only moving parts on the Draganflyer X6 helicopter. Because of the direct drive configuration, there are no gears to wear out. The only maintenance you have to do is to inspect and replace the rotors and rotor o-rings as required.
