The main navigation LEDs are located on the outside edge of the motor pods but also as you can see here, under each pod is an array of LEDs and ventilation holes to keep air moving over the pod electronics and motors. LED brightness can be set to percentage values ranging from 0 - 100% using the handheld flight controller.
