Technical Sales Specialist

Location: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
Position: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: To be discussed; based on qualifications

We’re looking for a highly motivated, results-driven team player with an above-par work ethic. Our perfect match would be someone who is sales-driven, excited about the opportunities opening up in the sUAS industry, and can learn the specialized, technical knowledge required to sell and promote our products and services as our company grows and we bring Draganfly to the next level.

As a Technical Sales Specialist, you will assess customer needs, help them solve problems, and ultimately sell our company’s products and services. You will need to have a high level of comfort and confidence reaching out to existing and potential customers as well as business / industry partners.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
  • Identifying prospects and attracting new business
  • Sales calls, product demonstrations, and client meetings
  • Providing pre- and post-sales support via phone, email, live chat, and in-person
  • Processing sales orders
  • Negotiating contracts
  • Maintaining relationships with existing customers and keeping track of new leads
  • Leading (and updating course material for) training sessions
  • Liaising with the technical and engineering teams to stay up-to-date on Draganfly products / services and reporting customer issues
  • Contributing to marketing materials, manuals, and other similar documentation
  • Representing Draganfly at tradeshows, conferences, and other industry events (some travel outside of Canada may be required)
  • Providing media interviews in order to promote Draganfly goods and services
  • Maintaining demonstration and training equipment as required to ensure availability for immediate work
  • Liaising with the Canadian Trade Commissioner’s Office, Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada to keep abreast of regulatory issues and opportunities involving export of Draganfly products
  • Assisting clients in obtaining regulatory approval
  • Liaising with special interest groups for development of systems unique to their needs for incorporation into Draganfly’s products
  • Effectively managing multiple projects at a time in a fast-paced and frequently changing environment

Key Skills Required:
  • Strong customer relationship management
  • Familiarity with sales software and tools, Photoshop, video editing software, and desktop publishing software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong business acumen
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven prospecting and closing skills
  • Strong customer focus and customer-centric approach to sales
  • Ability to learn technical knowledge of products / services being sold
  • Strong interpersonal, networking, and relationship building skills
  • Familiarity with data entry and records management
  • Impeccable time-management and organization skills with careful attention to detail

Other Items Considered To Be An Asset:
  • Technical sales or engineering background
  • Familiarity with Pix4D (or similar) drone mapping software
  • Personal or work experience building and/or flying UAVs
